Who is God?
Do you ever need a reminder of who our God is and what He can do? Consider the following points: He made everything out of nothing. (Genes 1). He covers us with His grace and mercy. (Genesis 3:2) He leads us to higher ground amidst the floods of life. (Genesis 6-8) He walks through the fire with us. (Daniel 3) He shuts the mouths of our lions. (Daniel 6) He raises the dead to life. (John 11) He shows compassion on the grieving. (Acts 9:36-42) He opens prison doors. (Acts 5:17-42 & 12:1-19) He breaks down walls. (Acts 16:16-40). He saves. (Acts 16: 27-34) The cross cannot keep him down. (Mark 16:6) The gravestone cannot keep him entombed. (John 20:1-10) Locked doors cannot keep him out. (John 20:19) He is, always was, and always will be. (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14, 15; Rev. 1:8) Nothing is too hard for our God. (Jer.32:7) Hallelujah! Amen.

Interested in joining the prayer chain? Contact Phyllis Duff at (765)482-1485/ raduff2@att.net. The following prayer takes inspiration from 2 Chronicles 20.

Heavenly Father, When we do not know what to do, the best course of action is for us to set our eyes upon You. In the spirit of 2 Chronicles chapter 20, I pray that You would remind us that You are the one who fights our battles. We may not be on the same battlefield the Israelites were on at that time in history, but we do have our own battles. We wage our own private, or sometimes not so private, wars every day. I pray in Your Holy Name that we would position ourselves in You, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. I pray we would remember You are with us. I pray that we would not fear or be dismayed, but would approach each trepidation, each concern, each obstacle with the confidence that You are with us and You are handling it.

Your Word says, in the 20th chapter of 2 Chronicles, that the leader of Your people cried out to You before His people, and they joined him in bowing their faces to the ground. Their leader, Jehoshaphat, pleaded with the people to believe in You. He appointed them to sing praises to You and they sang: “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.” Father, when they began to sing and praise You, Your Word says You set ambushes against their enemies and their enemies destroyed one another. Their praise brought triumph, through Your power, Your grace, and Your mercy. What began as a time of great concern ended in a time of great joy. They all returned to Jerusalem with joy, rejoicing in what You had done.

May we find quiet in the triumph of our God. May we sing praise in the midst of our battles. Even if it be with the last shred of our strength, may we lift our voices to You on high. For You are a great and amazing God. You are an awesome God. Forever and ever may we acknowledge who You are. Hallelujah! Amen.

Hymn: In My Life by Bob Kilpatrick
In my life, Lord, be glorified; be glorified. In my life, Lord, be glorified today.
In our song, Lord, be glorified; be glorified. In our song, Lord, be glorified today.
In your church, Lord, be glorified; be glorified. In your church, Lord, be glorified today.
In your world, Lord, be glorified; be glorified. In your world, Lord, be glorified today.
