Travel Mercies
Gretel is on vacation to Florida with her daughter for a week. I guess she is having a fun time. Here is a photo she sent me yesterday:

Dennis & Teresa Brannon are on vacation as well for a month. Travel mercies to them and to others who are on the journey whom I am not aware of.

Worship Team Meeting
The Worship Team will meet the second time at the church library next Tuesday, September 27th, 4:30PM. If you are interested in improving our worship experience, you can join us.

Choir Rehearsal
The choir rehearsal will be held on Tuesday, September 27th at 7PM (instead of Thursday).
Allen & Jennie Woods are going to Seattle to visit Alden and Grace. Thank you for your cooperation.

Cleaning up the Former Choir Room
ALL CHOIR MEMBERS are asked to help Jennie do a Post COVID clean up of the former choir room & the choir loft-mostly filing music and moving some items to the basement.  If we all work together, we can have the moving stuff done in 1 hour and the filing in 2. Saturday, October 8th 10AM.

Taking Photos
Pastor Je (that is me) is working on the Pictorial directory. Please let pastor Je take your photo if you have not yet. Or you may submit your own photo as well.

Pastor Je's Installation
Pastor Je will be installed by the Presbytery of Wabash Valley onto the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, IN. Technically, he is not yet installed as pastor in this church. The installation is Sunday, October 9th, 4PM. Rev. Luke Choi will come from Cleveland, OH to preach, and you will see many other clergy members from the Presbytery (including Rev. Alan Griffin). 

Little Dresses for Africa
There is a box in the church library in which you can put fabric or outfits for LDFA. There are also patterns available to use for sewing clothes for the children; they are attached to the poster-board sign leaning behind the box. These resources will remain available for you for the duration of this project. Donations are accepted and encouraged to assist in purchasing fabric, t-shirts, and other sewing supplies. New Activity to Begin
On Saturdays from October, the church begins a new activity / programme for senior exercise. From the late morning of Saturdays, we will gather to have bodily exercise, brain exercise (some sort of brain tease), and Bible Study. A lunch will be provided, so we need to know the number of people who are willing to come. Please let pastor Je (je@lebanonfpc.org) know if you are coming. 
Gretel and pastor Je will lead the Bible Study every other week. Pastor Je will have topical Bible study. Gretel will use a book from the “Bringing the Bible to Life” series, published by Zondervan. The book is entitled: “Psalms, The Cries of the Faithful”

Church Licence Plate
Pastor Je now has a front licence plate saying "Mitchell Presbyterian Church." He will make a licence plate for FPC Lebanon. This will look like this:

It is an aluminium plate (not plastic) and scratch protection coated. The price is around $18. If you want this licence plate on the front bumper of your vehicle, please let pastor Je know.

Sermon Series
The 101 Series finally ended. If you want a compiled 101 series booklet, please let pastor Je know.
From the coming Sunday, the new sermon series begins--the Genealogy of Jesus.

Terri Thorn On this second week of the sermon series, Why Keep Sabbath, I'm wondering what does Sabbath-keeping mean to you?  For those over 40, it probably equates to a list of do's and don'ts about what is allowed on Sundays.   For most of us, honoring the Sabbath meant that you did go to church on Sunday and you did not go shopping.  During my childhood, we called Sunday, Holy Day, and there was a specific routine we followed.  All the women, all the children, and some of the men, went to church every Sunday.   Interestingly though, not everyone went to the same church.
