Reminders:
This Sunday the greeters will be Bob and Phyllis Duff . We invite you to sign up to share  a treat during December. Whether you’re here to greet or to share a treat, the real treat we enjoy is you!

Music Notes:
No rehearsals this Thursday – enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday. Flute ensemble begins rehearsals this Sunday in the fellowship hall shortly after service.

Candle Lighting for Advent: There is a sign-up sheet in the hallway for helping with the candle lighting during the Advent season. This is a beautiful and special way to pause and consider the beauty and wonder of our Savior’s birth. Thank you for your participation, whether it is by helping light a candle or quietly worshipping in your heart. If you would like to help light the advent candle wreath, please contact Je or Gretel in the office.

Summary of General Assembly Actions: If you would like a copy of the General Assembly Actions, please contact Gretel in the office. She can email you a copy or print it for you to pick up (or have mailed via postal mail).

Website! Our website is up and running! It looks great! Pastor Je and Neal have put in super work on this. You can find a calendar of events, Midweek newsletters, sermons – both written form and video form, and more. Hop on to the internet and check it out at www.lebanonfpc.org

Christmas Concert!  Christmas Concert Reception food is needed for our celebration reception after our joint concert with Central Christian Church on Sunday, December 11th at CCC. They are providing fresh cider, water, coffee, decaf, and hot appetizers. We have been asked to provide 2 medium sized fresh fruit trays and 10 dz. homemade cookies, brownies, or bar cookies. Please let Jennie Woods know if you want to do some baking-nothing store-bought please- and just bring your goodies when you come to the concert. Thank you for helping our gracious hosts at CCC.

“Congratulations to you! We celebrate with you! Know that we love you, and God loves you too!”   Happy birthday to: John Quinn, 11/26; Nancy Jones, 11/29; and Mary Piper, 12/2! Happy anniversary to George and Leanne Piper, 11/24!

Live and Learn on Saturdays: This coming Saturday, November 26th, the Bible study will be cancelled so you can enjoy more time with friends and family over the holiday weekend. The Saturday activities will resume December 3rd, with the Psalms study led by Gretel, finishing up lesson 1 from the study book with a look at Psalms 25 and 37..

PPM Christmas Program! The wonderful, fabulous, stupendous (and adorable!) PPM Christmas program is coming up soon! The first run-through of the program will be Friday December 2nd at 10:30am. Special guests are encouraged to attend and you are all special guests! We invite you to come and enjoy these sweet children and the fantastic work their teachers are doing. The actual performance (for the parents/PPM families only) is Sunday December 4th at 5:30pm.

P.R.A.Y.E.R. R.E.Q.U.E.S.T.  T for Thanksgiving

A feast fills our tables,

God fills our hearts –
A feast of faith,
With grace to start.
Mercy and truth are spread about,
Purpose and Promise are sprinkled throughout.
All through the feast joy abounds.
Right beside it hope is found.
But what ties it together,
The fame of the feast,
What truly tames hunger’s beast,
Is thanksgiving,
Gratitude,
Giving thanks in all we do.
Whether turmoil and challenge be near or far,
Thanksgiving shines like the light from a star.
From Father to child comes this plea,
“Beloved, in the midst of these,
Give thanks to Me.”

“In everything give thanks.” 1 Thess. 5:18

Dear Heavenly Father, In our lives, do we have quaking mountains or troubled waters? We praise You that You are in the midst of these. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Ps.46:1). Are there storms in our lives mounting up to the heavens? Do we reel to and fro? Have we reached our wits end? We praise You that You can calm these waves so they are still. You can bring us to our desired haven. (Ps. 107:29,30). “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Ps. 107:31). We take time here and now to praise You. In the privacy of our own hearts we lift You high. May this praise be reflected in our words and deeds. May You be glorified for Your sake. May thanksgiving daily live in our hearts and be echoed in our lives. Amen.
