Worship in the “Park” Last Week:

Last Sunday, June 25th, was meant to be “Worship in the Park”. However, due to forecast of rain, the “park” looked strikingly like Central Christian Church. (Probably because it was Central Christian Church!) Thank you to all who come out last weekend and joined in the joint-church

worship experience. Our own Roy Flanary played in CCC’s Praise Band. Great

to see him up there! Wonderful time for all.

Weekly Devotional:

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1

All across the hillside

Battle cries arise

From scores of vanquished soldiers

Defeating their demise:

“We will not be defeated!

We are stronger than our foe;

Our Captain is The Victor

And He has declared: “No!

No, Death will not win!

No, Fear has no triumphant day!

Night will soon be ended,

Evil will not have its way!

Light has come in symphony,

Life has sung its song,

Courage takes its stand,

Righteousness rules the throng.”

“Speak life!” Shouts the captain

The trees and rocks awake,

A new chorus of voices fills the air,

Joins the song the victors make:

“Death has been defeated.

Our God Jehovah reigns.

Who will come and stand with us?

Know the freedom Jesus brings!”

Dear Heavenly Father,

May we indeed stand fast, we who have been set free. I pray that those in bondage would know freedom. I pray for the men and women who put their lives on the live for us every to protect our lives and our freedoms. I pray for the families of those who have paid the ultimate life, giving their lives, to protect our liberty. May we live our lives in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free. I praise You for Your victory, and I humbly thank You for sharing it with me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
