This coming Sunday’s service:
The service on July 16th will be led by Reverend Joseph
Park.
Time for Tea:
Time for Tea will meet Tuesday, July 18th, at 11am in the
Church Library. If you plan on bringing food or beverage to this, please
contact Gretel in the office. Or connect with Bess Wilkes.
Meeting for Session Members:
Tuesday, July 18th, there will be a meeting for session
members. This is in place of the standard session meeting. This is not an
official meeting. Meeting will be in the church library, beginning at 6:30pm.
Questions can be directed to Arlene Quinn.
August Tricycle Event:
There is a special event going on in August. No, you will not be
asked to ride tricycles! However, we would like to encourage each of you to
participate in this event, in support of PPM. PPM is an important ministry that
FPC supports and this event is an opportunity to connect with the children in a
positive and fun way. The following are the particulars of the event. Any
further questions can be directed to Debbie Crouse.
·
Event is on August 14th
·
PPM kids are done with their day about 5pm. Parents will
come and, instead of picking up the kids and going home, will stay and work
together, with FPC folks, to decorate kids’ tricycles.
·
Kids will ride their bikes around the downtown Lebanon square.
Every child will get a ribbon for participating.
·
FPC and PPM folks will enjoy pizza together afterwards.
·
Please help us out:
1)Keep this event in prayer.
2)Sign your name on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin
board if you plan to attend
3)Make note on the sign-up sheet if you plan to come to
help the kids decorate their tricycles.
4)Stay and eat pizza with the kids and interact with their families.
Treats for Sunday Fellowship:
There is a sign-up sheet on the hallway bulletin board for treats for
fellowship after Sunday services. Please check the list for a date when you can help with this. Thank you to those
who have volunteered.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come first in thanksgiving and praise for who You
are and what You have done in our lives. Whatever confounds us does not
surprise You. Whatever stumps us does not stop You. Continually in our world we
are confronted with things that are beyond us – beyond our control and our
ability to understand. In Psalm 46 we are reminded to be still. Jesus once told
the wind and the waves to be still. We are still before You here, Father. We
bow our heads and we lift our hands. There is so much evil in this world and we
do not feel equipped to handle it. There is so much difficulty and strain and
pain in our daily lives and we do not feel equipped to handle it. But You can.
You created the morning. You created the evening. You cause the sun both to
rise and to set and You follow it on its journey. There is nothing that is
impossible for You. Hear us, O God. Help us, O God. Draw near to us as we draw
near to You. In Jesus’ name, we praise, we pray, and we find peace. Amen.
