Father’s Day

This coming Sunday, we joyfully celebrate Father’s Day, a special time to honour and appreciate the fathers and father figures in our lives. As we gather for worship, we reflect on the vital role they play in our families and commun-ities, providing guidance, support, and love.

In Proverbs 20:7, we read, “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” This verse reminds us of the enduring impact of a father’s faithfulness and integrity. Let us take this opportunity to give thanks for the fathers among us, lifting them up in prayer and offering our heartfelt gratitude.

We invite all fathers to join us for the Father’s Day worship service. The church has something special for you—Titus Bakery Gift Certificate for a doughnut and a small cup of coffee.

Last Voting Chance for Photo Contest

Coming Sunday is the last chance to vote for the Photo Contest. The winner will be announced during the Worship in the Park on the following Sunday. On the sanctuary door, you can see two laminated photos, taken by Al McConnaha. These photos are not for the contest but in memory of Al McConnaha, who was the church photographer.

Saturday Bible Study

We are studying the Hebrews which has deep theology, mainly Christology. Come to learn and discuss about the deep theology and the mystery in the book of Hebrews.

Sanctuary AC Fixed

Last Sunday the sanctuary A/C did not work. Roy called the service company on Monday and it is now working in the sanctuary. We can worship God in cool sanctuary again.

Want to Add Music to the Service?

If you have considered playing an instrument, singing, or performing a dramatic reading, summer is the perfect time! Please inform Lisa Hutcheson, and she will coordinate with your schedule. The congregation is very supportive and loves to hear members share their talents, so don’t hesitate to give it a try!

Flag Day

Coming Friday, June 14th is Flag Day when we celebrate our national flag (or Stars and Stripes) and commemorates June 14th, 1777 when the Continental Congress determined the composition of the nation’s banner: “Resolved, That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.” How about we salute the flag this Friday?

Well, I do not yet have the hymns for this coming Sunday Morning Worship Service. But let me share one of my favourite Christian songs:

The Worship in the Park with the Central Christian Church at the Memorial park band stand is coming soon on Sunday, June 23rd. There will be pitch-in luncheon after the worship service. In case of rain, the worship will be at the Central Christian Church.
