Harvest Dinner
The
annual Harvest Dinner is on the Sunday before Thanksgiving (Sunday, November
24) after the worship service. As usual, the church will provide turkeys and
drinks. You may bring appetizers, desserts, or any other dishes to share. A
sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board outside the church office for side
dishes, salads and rolls. Call or email Lesley, if that is more convenient. Pastor
Je will cook the “Don't-Tell-the-Doctor” turkeys wrapping them with bacon.
Advent/Christmas
Poinsettias
A sign-up sheet/order form is located on the bulletin board
outside the church office. The colors available this year are, Pink, Red, White
and Pink Marble. Each plant will be foiled/ bowed and will cost $17 with orders
due by Sunday, November 24th. Delivery will be Saturday, December 7th
and you will be able to take them home December 24th after evening
service.
Last Chance
With Advent coming, we'd like to try a small choir.
We'll sing 2 times during Advent, (12/1-12/24).
PAINFUL TRUTH-in the past, we would try to rehearse but were not prepared
because we didn't have total commitment from EVERY singer. So, if you'd like to
join us, rehearsals for everyone are a must, and rehearsing to the provided
track on your own is also REQUIRED, otherwise we are wasting the time of those
who have committed. I think we can all agree we are a VERY talented bunch, but
aging and a bit rusty, so we need the rehearsals more than we did even 3
years ago.
I hope you'll consider joining us if you are able to
commit to it.
PLEASE let me know by this Friday if you'd prefer:
Thursday nights at 730pm, or
Sunday mornings at 9:15am.
We may do a bit of both.
Happy Advent!
In Tune, Jennie

PPM News
What a fun, great month we are having. The classes are talking about
Thanksgiving and what they are thankful for, some classes are doing fun lessons
about Fairy Tales and believe it or not Miss Mea is already
teaching us fun Christmas music.
This past week we celebrated the beautiful life of Mildred. Pastor
Je referenced what a great life we would have if we could all live like
Mildred. We were blessed at PPM to have her love and support. She will be
greatly missed.
This month, I ask that you pray specifically for Miss Kylie and Miss
Madi. Both of these teachers work with our 2–3-year-olds. Miss Kylie is in her
second year at PPM. Miss Kylie has an amazing husband, Seth, who is
always ready to help us during our family night. They have 2 children,
Oliver who is in first grade this year, and Adeline (AJ) who is in PREK.
This is Miss Madi's first full year at PPM, she has a busy group of
2-year-olds. Miss Madi's mom used to have an in-home daycare and would
help here after school and during breaks.
PPM is very fortunate to have both of these ladies teaching our young
friends.
Blessings, Lori Rowe

On
