Custodian

FPC has accepted the resignation of Ruth Deem, the part time Custodian. We appreciate her time with us and wish her well at her new opportunities.

That being said, we have an opening to fill for a part time custodian. The position is anywhere from 10-24 hours per week depending on their preference to clean for PPM as well or just clean for the church. The pay begins between $15 & $17/hour depending on experience.

We will not consider hiring anyone in the church family or close to anyone in the church to avoid sticky situations that may arise in the normal course of employment.

If you have anyone interested who isn't close to the church, please either email us or write it down and hand it to us. Do not just tell us about them at church as we'll need their contact information.

Thank you in advance from your Personnel Committee:

Malawi Baby Pack Project

We are collecting for the Malawi baby packs until April 20. There is a sign-up sheet on the reception table in the foyer with the items we need to fill the packs. Please sign up to donate something, On Saturday April 26 we will stuff the baby packs and have refreshments. There is also a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you plan on coming to help stuff bags. For more information please watch this video https://youtu.be/cdi0PDt79wA.

If you are spring cleaning, here’s some additional ideas to help the people of Malawi through the Malawi Project.

·        They can use old sheets, pillowcases and towels, even if they are ripped, they use them as rags in the hospital.

·        Old candles, any kind would help give them an easy source of light.

·        Sewing needles, thread, snaps etc.

Easter Flowers

We are once again ordering flowers to decorate the sanctuary to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and to celebrate new and eternal life. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board outside the church office. The flowers available this year are Lilies, Hyacinths, Daffodils and Tulips. The price per plant is $17. All orders are due by April 14th.

Leftover Bibles

Do you have more Bibles than you need or read? If they are in fair condition, you may want to donate them to our Christian brothers and sisters in Malawi. The unopened Bibles which are just sitting on the shelves can be treasures and divine words to them. If you would like to bring your Bibles to church, we will send them to Malawi with the Baby Packs.

Saturday Bible Study

We will meet on Saturday, April 5th at 11:30am. We are currently studying the Book of Genesis, focusing on the ancient Middle Eastern and Hebrew cultures that shape its narrative. Coffee and tea will be provided but you need to bring your own lunch
