Lenten Soup Supper & Service

Many churches in Lebanon have been coming together for fellowship and spirituality during Lenten Wednesdays in the past years. This year is no different! Lenten Soup Supper will start Wednesday, March 12th and end on April 9th. The suppers will start at 6pm, followed by a worship or prayer service in the respective traditions at 7pm. The schedule and locations for the suppers is listed below:

          March 12th- St. Joseph Catholic Church

          March 19th- Trinity Lutheran Church

          March 26th- First Presbyterian Church

          April    2nd- TBD

          April    9th-  TBD

We need volunteers to bring soups to serve on Wednesday, March 26th when we host it. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board outside the church office. If you have an extension cord, please bring it so we can make sure all of the soups can stay warm. Please contact Nancy Kincaid with any questions you may have.

PPM News

Spring is definitely in the air and in the hallways here at PPM! We have traded the snowflakes for rainbows and the blues and grays to bright colors. 

Last week our teachers met with parents for conferences, we made traps for the leprechauns (which we didn't catch!) and learned all about spring weather. 

Miss Mea and her family welcomed baby Maxwell. Baby Max was born March 4th and weighed 7lbs and 21 inches long. Miss Mea was in the hospital for about 8 days after Max with a few complications. She is home now, and they are all adjusting to the new baby. 

Miss Natalie is working with the kids on a few songs for PPM Sunday, which will be the last Sunday of April. We are excited to sing for the church.

Malawi Baby Pack Project

We are collecting for the Malawi baby packs until April 20. There is a sign-up sheet on the reception table in the foyer with the items we need to fill the packs. Please sign up to donate something, On Saturday April 26 we will stuff the baby packs and have refreshments. There is also a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you plan on coming to help stuff bags. For more information please watch this video https://youtu.be/cdi0PDt79wA.

If you are spring cleaning, here’s some additional ideas to help the people of Malawi through the Malawi Project.

·        They can use old sheets, pillowcases and towels, even if they are ripped, they use them as rags in the hospital.

·        Old candles, any kind would help give them an easy source of light.

·        Sewing needles, thread, snaps etc.

 

Gourmet Seekers

The Gourmet Seekers will meet Friday, March 28th at Cracker Barrel (6398 Crane Dr. Whitestown, IN 46075) at 12pm. For rideshare, please be at the church by 11:30am. Please call or email the church office by Thursday, March 27th if you would like to attend.

Saturday Bible Study

We will meet on Saturday, March 22nd at 11:30am. We are currently studying the Book of Genesis, focusing on the ancient Middle Eastern and Hebrew cultures that shape its narrative. Coffee and tea will be provided but you need to bring your own lunch
