Lenten Soup Supper & Service

We’re hosting the Community Lenten Wednesday Soup & Supper tonight. All are welcome to come. Dinner at 6PM, service at 7PM. If you are bringing soup, come at 5PM with your soup in a crock pot and bring your extension cord so we can make sure all of the soups can stay warm. Contact Nancy Kincaid with any questions you may have.

Custodian

FPC has accepted the resignation of Ruth Deem, the part time Custodian. We appreciate her time with us and wish her well at her new opportunities.

That being said, we have an opening to fill for a part time custodian. The position is anywhere from 10-24 hours per week depending on their preference to clean for PPM as well or just clean for the church. The pay begins between $15 & $17/hour depending on experience.

We will not consider hiring anyone in the church family or close to anyone in the church to avoid sticky situations that may arise in the normal course of employment.

If you have anyone interested who isn't close to the church, please either email us or write it down and hand it to us. Do not just tell us about them at church as we'll need their contact information.

Thank you in advance from your Personnel Committee:

PPM News

We are so excited to see the flowers coming up and leaves on the trees. What a refreshing time of year to see colors and hear the birds. Last week, I was in a class and drawing with the PreK kids. I drew a rainbow and was immediately told my rainbow was wrong. I started with red on  the bottom and ended with purple on top. Of course as 5 year olds they were right! I told them that when I draw, I use my imagination and don't always make things the way they are supposed to. Next thing I knew, they were all making their rainbows different. What an amazing teaching moment, that we can use our creativity and imagination and be different from everyone else. But all loved and accepted by God.

This week we have a parent who is coming to do a weather class for our Pre 5 and Pre K classes. Amber Keefer is a meteorologist for FOX 59 . We are very excited to have this opportunity for our older classes.

PPM is on Spring Break next week, when we return in April we will be practicing for PPM Sunday, and learning about what Easter means with a lot of fun activities going on in our classrooms.

Have a very blessed week- GO BOILERS!!

Ms. Lori R.

There is also a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you plan on coming to help stuff bags. For more information please watch this video https://youtu.be/cdi0PDt79wA.

If you are spring cleaning, here’s some additional ideas to help the people of Malawi through the Malawi Project.
