Organ Recital

If you were unable to attend, a view of Sunday's Organ Recital is available here: https://youtube.com/live/_RM70HtNbX0?feature=share

It includes timestamps to all of the musical numbers and also separately recorded video of the performer's hands on the keyboard has been edited into this version.

Yom Kippur

This coming Thursday is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, which marks the end of the Ten Days of Repentance. In the Old Testament on this day, the high priest put all the sins of the people upon a ram and sacrificed it. Now we remember that Jesus, our sacrificial Lamb, carried our sins. For more, please read the monthly newsletter.

Sukkot

Sukkot, also called the Feast of Booths or Feast of Tabernacles, is a week living in a tent, for the Israelites to remember the 40 years in the wilderness. During this time, let us also remember our difficult days and God's work of salvation. For more, please read the monthly newsletter.

World Communion Sunday

This coming Sunday, or the first Sunday of October each year, is the World Communion Sunday. We join the Lord's table along with all our Christian brothers and sisters around the world. To learn more about this beautiful tradition (which began by Presbyterians), please read the monthly newsletter.

Peace and Global Witness

This Sunday is the last day of collecting the PCUSA's special offering of Peace & Global Witness. 25% remains at our congregation for the peace and reconciliation work in our community. Other 25% goes to the mid-council (Presbytery and Synod) for the regional peace making effort. Half of it goes to the PCUSA's office of general assembly for the peacemaking in America and in the world. To learn more about our local peace making effort, please read the monthly newsletter.

Sharing Your Musical Talents During Advent

If anyone is interested in sharing their musical talents on Sundays please email Lisa or see her at church.  This can be vocal or instrumental, individuals or groups, and music for the prelude, postlude, or special music during the service for the glory of God. You don't have to be Liberace or Pavarotti, just someone who is willing to praise God through music!
