Love Inc has invited FPC along with other supporting churches to attend their Annual Banquet Fundraising event. The banquet is at Zionsville Fellowship Church tomorrow evening, November 6th, with doors opening at 5:30pm. The event will include a silent auction, banquet dinner and program presented by Love, INC.

We have supported this organization for 18 years as a community church partner

Veteran’s Day Lunch

To express our gratitude in a small but heartfelt way, Pastor Je invites all veterans in our congregation to join him for lunch at Pizza Hut on Tue., Nov. 11th, at 11:30 AM The meal is his treat, offered in appreciation for your faithful service to our country and community. Let us remember to keep our veterans in our prayers—thanking God for their courage, their families, and the peace we enjoy through their service.

Harvest Dinner

The Harvest Dinner will be Sunday November 23rd, in the Fellowship Hall following Worship Service. We are asking the congregation to bring side salads and desserts, as the church is taking care of the turkeys and sides. You are more than welcome to bring your family, friends or neighbors. Please look for a sign-up sheet (on the bulletin board outside the church office) if you would like to bring a guest or food.

Called Congregational Meeting

The Called Congregational Meeting will be on Sunday, November 23rd in the sanctuary immediately after the worship service. It will not take more than five minutes. It is to elect new elders to serve in the session as two elders are graduating at the end of this year. Thankfully the graduating elders, Arlene Quinn and Sigmon Myers, agreed to come back and serve another term of 3 years. We will be voting to approve their return.

Advent Candle Lighting

If you would like to volunteer to light a candle this year, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the church office.

Stuffed Toy Collection

Our Child Care Provider, Ava, does a lovely mission each year at Christmas.  She collects gently used small stuffed toys, wraps each one and delivers them to Nursing Homes for residents. Ava has asked our congregation to help her by donating gently used small stuffed toys.  You can give those stuffed toys to Ava or Nancy Turner on Sundays. Last year Ava collected, wrapped and delivered 1,000 toys, bringing joy to many!  Nancy Kincaid will purchase the wrapping paper and tape this year for Ava's project. Any stuffed toy donations the members of FPC can give to Ava for this project will be appreciated!

Presbyterian Ringers

We are looking for more ringers, no experience needed! Come to the practice tonight at 7pm or contact Lisa Hutcheson.

Alaska Disaster Relief

The west coast of Alaska was hit by remnants of tropical typhoon Halong, generating high winds and sea surge the inundated communities, damaging homes and infrastructure. At least 49 communities reported being impacted.

Presbyterian Disaster Relief is working with the Presbytery of Yukon to support their response to the community. Please make donations to FPC and designate Alaska Typhoon, if you feel called to do so.

Sharing Your Musical Talents

If anyone is interested in sharing their musical talents on Sundays please email Lisa or see her at church.  This can be vocal or instrumental, individuals or groups, and music for the prelude, postlude, or special music during the service for the glory of God. You don't have to be Liberace or Pavarotti, just someone who is willing to praise God through music!

Do you want to serve Communion by distributing the elements during regular Communion on the first Sunday of each month? By the session’s approval, you don’t have to be an ordained elder to serve Communion. December and January still need volunteers, please sign up on the bulletin board outside the church office or let Pastor Je know.

Prayer Request?

If you have a prayer request, please contact Phyllis Duff at raduff2@att.net.

Got News?

Do you have something you wish to share with the church family? Sharing good news will double it. Sharing sad news will halve it. Is your child or grandchild excellent? You can boast about them. Contact the church office if you want your story in the weekly Midweek or monthly Newsletter.
